What we collect, and why.

This website, mahaveerglasshouse.com, is operated by Mahaveer Glass House, No. 32 (Old No. 34), B.V.K. Iyengar Road, Bangalore - 560053, India (GSTIN 29ACOPM2080N1ZY). We trade online as The Glass House.

When you send an enquiry or ask for a quote. Your name, phone number, email address, the message you write, and, if you were using a configurator, the configuration you priced. Only the phone number is required on the quote form; the rest is optional.

When you use a configurator. The sizes, glass, finishes and hardware you choose, and any items you add to a cart. These stay in your own browser (local storage) so you can come back to them. They reach us only if you send them as an enquiry or place an order.

When you place an order. The details above plus a delivery address and, for trade accounts, your business name and GSTIN.

When you hold a staff, reseller or architect account. Your email address, name, role and the quotes and orders you create. Accounts are created by us; the public site has no self-service sign-up for customers.

Automatically. Which pages you open, which configurator options you click, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location derived from your network address. If something on the site breaks we record the error and the page it happened on.

Session recordings. Our analytics also records how each visit unfolds — page changes, clicks, scrolling and the parts of the page shown — so we can see where the site confuses people or breaks. Anything you type into a form field is masked and never recorded.

• To answer your enquiry, arrange a site visit and send you a quotation.
• To fabricate, deliver and fit what you ordered, and to invoice it.
• To follow up on a quote you asked for but did not confirm. You can tell us to stop at any time.
• To see which parts of the site are used and which fail, so we can fix and improve them.
• To meet our legal obligations, including GST records.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising on other sites.

The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our usage analytics stores a random visitor identifier in your browser’s local storage rather than a cookie; it is not linked to your name unless you send an enquiry. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

Local storage also holds your configurator choices, cart, theme preference and, for account holders, the sign-in session.

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. Each processes data only on our instructions:

• Supabase hosts our database and account sign-in (enquiries, quotes, orders, accounts).
• Google Sheets keeps a working copy of enquiries for our sales team.
• PostHog provides usage analytics and session recordings.
• Sentry provides error monitoring.
• Cloudflare serves the site and protects it from abuse.
• WhatsApp, if you choose to chat with us. Messages there are governed by WhatsApp’s own terms.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside India. We transfer it only as permitted under Indian law.

We share order details with our fabrication and fitting partners only as needed to complete your order, and with authorities where the law requires.

• Enquiries and quotes that did not become orders: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Orders, invoices and the details on them: 8 years, as required for GST and accounting records.
• Usage analytics and error logs: 12 months.
• Account data: for as long as the account is active, then deleted within 90 days.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you;
• correct or complete it;
• erase it, unless we must keep it for a legal reason such as an invoice;
• stop contacting you about a quote.

Email mghmahaveer@gmail.com with the phone number or email you used on the site. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

The site is for adults arranging glasswork for a home or project. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

When we change how the site handles data we update this page and the effective date at the top. Material changes are noted on the page for 30 days.
